Stafford Estates – CCRs

Weeds and Grass
Weeds an grass taller than 12 inches are prohibited. Please keep your yard mowed to deter pests and unsightliness. Please refer to Section 7.3 Lot Maintenance regarding care of your lawn and please include weed control as a part of the maintenance.
Tree Trimming and Grass clippings:
According to Town of Flower Mound, trees must be kept trimmed up 7 feet above sidewalks and roadways. Letters will be sent to those who need to trim the branches.
Also, grass clippings should not be blown into the streets. This is a town of Flower Mound ordinance. If you see any issues, you can call the city directly at 972-539-SERV to report the violation.
Boats, RV’s, Trailers, and Non-Running Vehicles may not be stored on your driveway, or street.
During Summer and the transition to Fall and then Winter, storage of boats, campers, RV’s, etc. may be considered by their owners. Please take note of the CCR Section 2.6(B) regarding storage of these types vehicles at your residence. Vehicles may be stored on the premises, but must be “concealed from public view”. Most Stafford Estates residents who are recreational vehicle owners usually have pre-arranged storage for their vehicle or equipment. It is greatly appreciated by the Stafford Estates residents.
Political Signage:
While the approved bylaws of Stafford Estates HOA states that political signage cannot be placed in yards until 60 days prior to an election, the state of Texas codes require that HOAs must allow signage to be placed up to 90 days prior to an election. The HOA recognizes the authority of the state legislation and will allow political signage in the 90 days before the election date.
Holiday Decorations:
With the Holiday Season approaching residents may be decorating the outside of their homes. There are really no restrictions regarding decorations, but please use common sense on the length of time that your decorations remain up following the holidays.
